Interior and exterior photographs, largely from 1905-1906, of the Brooklyn Public Library's branches. Many include children and adults using the library. Also included are some drawings of existing and proposed branches; a draft of an agent's report showing sites proposed for "libraries under the gift of Andrew Carnegie in the Borough of Brooklyn," 1905, photos of library buildings, drawings of proposed buildings and building sites; and a group portrait of the Brooklyn Public Library's Board of Trustees, May 17, 1949, with trustees identified. Also a category entitled "BPL Branches--Architectural Drawings" containing drawings and blueprints; plans of the central library building in Grand Army Plaza, 1921; an issue of the AMERICAN ARCHITECT AND BUILDING NEWS, July 15, 1905, vol. 88, no.1542 which includes a first story plan, front elevation, and cross section of the Greenpoint Branch of the BPL; and drawings of branches.
